概要

Goodrich社製の0872F1氷検知器は、降水が液体状態から固体状態へと変化する様子を測定します。このセンサーは、氷雨の強度と継続時間を測定するように設計されており、気温が氷点下近くになると、雨と着氷性の雨を区別します。0.13mm（0.0005インチ）という微量の氷の蓄積も検出可能です。

0872F1は現在、以下の気象研究生産プログラムで使用されています。

0872F1は、超音波軸方向振動管上の氷の蓄積を検知し、関連する周波数変化をRS-232またはデジタル電流ループデータリンクを介して送信します。この氷検知器は、屋外環境での連続運転を想定して設計されたポールに取り付けられています。

0872F1は、4つの機能アセンブリで構成されています。

CCA（コールドクランキングアンペア）およびすべての電気接続部は、0872F1ハウジング内に収められています。

0872F1は定期的な再校正のみが必要で、通常はその他のメンテナンスは不要です。
